An Update.. - 13/04/2008 - Chris
Ok, so it's been a while since last posting anything on here. I have been very busy with University, sorry. An update on things is in order I feel.
Since last posting, I have managed to pass my first year of univeristy with flying colours, find myself a placement job for my year in industry and stress out at the immense amount of work set in the second year of university.
First things first, I have succesfully managed to get an intern job working for the production support team at Intel UK in Swindon. A job that I never thought I would get! Such a big company and lets put it this way, I didnt even think I would get asked for an interview.. I start work for Intel on the 7th of July 2008, cant wait!
I am now also a member of the UK Young Internet Alliance, this is a list of young web developers and designers around the UK ages 22 or under. This is to help young developers and designers get some work around the UK, this doesn't only benefit the designer, it benefits the client as they can receive a high quality service and lower costs that some of the larger companies out there. The sun is out! get the shorts out! - 05/08/2007 - Chris
The sun has finally decided to show itself and Brighton sea front is beginning to look like a normal beach on a hot summers day!
I came down with my housemate to Brighton this weekend, forgetting it was pride week it was packed! Note to self.. never try and drive in Brighton when its pride week! I ended up turning around and driving back to the house at Uni.
Liam (housemate) and I have spent today on the seafront soaking up the rays on the pebbles (why pebbles!? its so painful to lie on!) As you do when your a male, some bird spotting was in order (the seagull variety ofcourse!) See below for a picture of Brighton seafront at 1pm today
Right im off to go back to the sun! I have a question for you? Why are you reading this when you could be outside in the Sun!!! your bonkers!

An update is in order I feel.. - 31/07/2007 - Chris
Ok so its been over a month since my last update.. Im sorry.. But I have been a very busy person!
Its now the summer (hard to tell but hey!) and I have had 2 months off of univeristy. I had to keep myself occupied so I decided to go and do some web design work for an old boss of mine. It pays well and I enjoy doing it, a perfect summer job I feel..
Apart from working, I have been going down to my new house in Brighton with my housemates every weekend partying and drinking.. Which we ALL regret doing the morning after but we are young.. we will never learn ;o)
Time to blow my own trumpet I feel.. I was sent a letter through the post from my university, Informing me that I had received an award at my prize giving this year for the best demonstration of Digital Media Skills.. Now what would you think the prize was? A certificate? A Book? Gift Vouchers? no.. It was a cheque for £200!!! Woooo, keep up the good work me!
Anyway, I have three more weeks left at my summer job then Im off to Center Parcs with my mates for a week of exercise (ewww) and drinking (woooo). Bring on Center Parcs 2007!

Messy weekend in Luton (Day 2) - 09/06/2007 - Chris
Ouch!!! my head! why did I drink as much as I did last night! idiot!! I got woken up this morning by Chloe coming into the room at 10am.. yes thats right 10am the morning after a really heavy night out.. whats wrong with this picture? 10am! thats whats wrong. Crazy woman!
We (Chloe and me) spent most of the day trying to recover from the uber hangovers that we had while watching ABC1 with Scrubs on (best tv show on the face of the planet!) and later in the afternoon had a home made lasagne made by her mum (so so so yum) havent had a home cooked meal in donkeys years! Once we had finished lunch/dinner it was time for us to head back to Kent the part 2 of the messy weekend. It was my turn to take Chloe out in Kent for a good time (although SOS in Tonbridge cant really be seen as a good time unless your bladdered)
We jumped in the car and started making our way back to Kent. I point out on the way it took me nearly three hours to get to Chloes house but on the way back the motorway was clear and we had a smooth and quick hours drive. We arrived back in Sevenoaks and I showed Chloe around casa del Chris. We then sat down for the afternoon recovering again from the night before. Could we do it again??
The time came to jump in the shower and start getting ready, Dave would be here in an hour and we needed to get ready. an hour passed or drinking while changing and listening to music. Dave turned up on time and we headed into Sevenoaks at 7ish to start the mini pub crawl (Ha if you can call it that 2 pubs!!) After we had a couple of drinks in the second pub Matt turned up and we headed to Tonbrige. Although we had a tiny hidcup on the way.. Dave's car wouldnt start (brillian just want we needed) Matt and I got out and bump started his car down the car park so its all good. It felt manly I must say...
We eventually made it to Tonbridge where we had a couple of drinks in the town Wetherspoons then waddled over to SOS. once we were in SOS we started on the heavy drinks again. I had been at the bar only a few minutes when a Bride to be approached me on her hen night and asked if she could have by boxer shorts for a challenge that she had been set.. I oblidged and flew into the toilets, whipped of my kegs and brandished the boxers within minutes. She was extatic! although once I walked off i turned around to see her putting them on her head!! Was she mad? obviously so. The night drew closer to an end and we stayed on the dance floor most of the night. We concluded the night by leaving SOS and getting a meaty feast pizza from the local pizza takeaway.
Once we were home we stayed up and chatted in my living froom till 4:45 am! it was daylight by the time we went to bed, how mad are we, and I knew i was going to regret it in the morning.

Messy weekend in Luton (Day 1). - 08/06/2007 - Chris
Today I travelled up to Luton to visit a friend from university. The day started well, I got everything packed up ready and set off in the car. Note to self, DON'T go to Luton in the middle of day during rush hour and avoid the M1 motorway!! A journey that should only of taken an hour and twenty minutes took me three hours!! This was mainly due to the road works (they are widening the M1 from junction 8 through to junction 10) be warned!!
Ok, so after my three hour journey things were looking up again, I arrived at Chloe's (friend from university) house and straight away we walked down into town as she had to do some sports work with local school children. Meanwhile this gave me time to see the sights of Luton. Once Chloe has finished work, we went for a bite to eat for dinner and had a couple of drinks around town. My overall first impression of Luton is that its HUGE!
Chloe and I got a cab back to her house where we started to get ready for the drunken night out. We started drinking at 6 and got a taxi into town at 9:30pm by thi spoint we had consumed copius amounts of alcohol and were already quite drunk (oops!) We got dropped off outside a bar called "Exchange" first impression was good, great music, cheap drinks and good looking girls! The night progressed and at about 11pm I had made about 5 new friends and one of Chloe's female friends phone number! We then stumbled out of the bar and waddled down to another bar/club called "Chicagos" At this point in the night most things were a blur so I cant really comment on the nights activites.

The last of the first year :(. - 05/06/2007 - Chris
What can I say! What a hectic 365 days the last year has been! Last week w/c 28/05/2007 I started and finished my end of year exams. Im feeling quite positive about the results, only time will tell haha. Anyway, now that exams are over its just like the first week of the first year again. Everybody is going out getting drunk and bringing random objects and people back to halls. Its all good! Seeing as we wont really be able to do this much in the second year, now seems like a better time than any!
On another note, its the end of the first year!!! its so depressing thinking about leaving the people you have lived around for the past year. All the fun times we had and the ups and downs people have been through. I suppose its not like we are moving to opposite sides of the planet. Everybody will still be in Brighton and no doubt we will all bump into one another on our sparse drunken nights out.. but work comes first obviously!
Changing the subject, its my sisters wedding on the 1st of July!! Excited, I have only ever been to one wedding before and seeing as this is my sisters, it should be pretty amazing. I have been given the role of usher (I can see it now, dancing down the aisle to "Yeah" white suit on, pimp stick..) anyway ill stop day dreaming now haha.

The last week of semester one. - 11/12/2006 - Chris
Ok so the past 12 weeks have been amazing, Anyone who is thinking of going to university.. I highly advise it! You meet a great group of friends, You study a course you actually enjoy paying attention in and you can have some of the best nights of your life. Oh and not forgetting the whole learning to live on your own, if you choose to stay in halls that is (Highly Advisable)
This week im going back to freshers week, going out every night, getting drunk and doing random silly things on the street.. I have done all of my set assignments and handed them in, All lectures are wind down lectures about what we have covered in the past 12 weeks, so a fully functional brain is not required.
Lets hope its a good one :o) clubbing every night!!
